My thoughts… Louna, if nothing else, is my favorite Russian rock band! I discovered Lou’s popular Russian band Tracktor Bowling first, but Louna‘s (alt-)rock, for me, takes the top spot over Tracktor Bowling‘s (alt-)metal! It’s very difficult to get my close-minded (American) friends to embrace a band that sings in Russian, but Louna helped the cause by releasing Behind the Mask in which Lou sang ten of the band’s best tracks with lyrics adapted into English – and with very little of an accent! I love Louna‘s original Russian albums (even though I can’t understand the lyrics), but I hope another English album is forthcoming!
