My thoughts… Ninja Apocalypse is more like The Warriors meets Futaro Yamada’s The Kouga Ninja Scrolls set in a post-apocalyptic future! The story is obviously derivative, the acting isn’t quite Oscar-worthy, and the special effects aren’t exactly mind-blowing. However, the fight sequences are amazingly well-executed, exciting, and plentiful! In addition, there’s sexy ninja vixens and zombies! Filipino-Irish actress/stuntwoman Tara Macken is fantastic as Mar but the real treat is Albanian actress/model Antoinette Kalaj as the Sirens – all 5 of ’em! The Sirens, by the way, are like the Lizzies from The Warriors. Awesome ninja B-movie fun!
