Sky Sharks is an upcoming German sci-fi/horror film written by A.D. Morel and directed by Marc Fehse for Marctropolis and Benfeghoul Productions in association with Digitale Studios. The film was successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign (here) which ended on June 15. Sky Sharks will start shooting in January/February 2016 with a release planned for late 2016/early 2017.

Deep in the ice of the Antarctic, a team of geologists uncover an old Nazi laboratory, still intact, where dark experiments had occurred. Unwittingly the geologists unleash upon the world a top-secret experiment the Germans had been working on – modified sharks that are able to fly, whose riders are genetically mutated, undead super-humans. The only thing that can stop them, and possibly save the world, is a military task force called the “Dead Flesh Four“ – assembled from reanimated U.S. soldiers who fell in Vietnam.

A promotional clip of the film was released in May 2015. The clip stars Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Robert LaSardo, Nick Principe, Lar Park-Lincoln, Michaela Schaffrath, Lynn Lowry, Ralf Richter, and Tobias Schenke.

Not rated. 4:35 run time. Watch the promotional clip here …

My thoughts… Sky Sharks looks like Iron Sky (2012) meets The Asylum’s Sharknado (2013) mixed with Flight of the Living Dead (2007)! The promotional clip is pretty amazing!! It’s ridiculously over-the-top but not in a campy kind of way! In fact, it’s horrifying! I can’t wait for the completed film!
