And, here’s Silbermond‘s latest video …

My thoughts… Silbermond is my favorite female-fronted German rock band! I don’t speak German but I don’t need to because this band’s music breaks the language barrier with well-crafted melodies and Stefanie Kloß’s awesome vocals. She is currently one of the coaches on The Voice of Germany, and is also romantically involved with Silbermond guitarist Thomas Stolle. The band’s pop/rock mix has evolved from an edgier alt-rock influence into mature adult-oriented alternative rock. “Unter Der Oberfläche” [from Himmel Auf], with its Kings of Leon-esque “whoa-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh‘s”, is one of Silbermond‘s best songs but, surprisingly, it was never even a single! “Nichts mehr” [from Nichts passiert], which sounds a lot like Nirvana, is one of Silbermond‘s best harder-edged tracks.

Oh, by the way, I get weak for black-haired female rockers. No, wait – I get weak for black-haired females. Period. I LOVE Stefanie Kloß’s shorter hair!
