Batman: Death Wish (2012) is a fan film directed by Matthew Hiscox and written by Jennifer Zhang. Starring Batman as “Batman”, Christopher L. Robinson as “Tim Drake/Robin”, Matthew Hiscox as “Dick Grayson/Nightwing”, Jennifer Zhang as “Cassandra Cain/Batgirl”, Michael T. Coleman as “Edward Nigma/The Riddler”, Joey Rassool as “Jonathan Crane/The Scarecrow”, Bonnie Gordon as “Barbara Gordon/Oracle”, Whitney Moore as “Selina Kyle/Catwoman”, Rayne Bidder as “Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn”, and Ali Williams as “Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy”.

Armed with a lethal neurotoxin, a mysterious assailant is targeting the kingpins of Gotham’s criminal underground. As Batman and Robin are drawn deeper into an investigation that ensnares more and more of the rogues gallery, a disturbing revelation about the identity of the attacker begins to take shape.

Not rated. 12:18 run time. Watch the film here …

My thoughts… I like this fan film. I really like Whitney Moore as Catwoman. She starred in James Nguyen‘s wonderfully awful film Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2010) and its even awful-er sequel Birdemic 2: The Resurrection (2013). I also like Rayne Bidder as Harley Quinn. Oh, and Jennifer Zhang sure can kick some ass! My only problem here is that Batman and Robin are idiots. “Analysis of the substance in the syringe revealed it to be a fast-acting botanical neurotoxin available only in the Far Eastern black markets,” Batman tells Robin. I wonder who, in Gotham City, would use a botanical neurotoxin? Batman and Robin didn’t even suspect Poison Ivy until they realized that Harley Quinn was spared. Idiots. However, I still love this film!
