Stitches concerns Richard ‘Stitches’ Grindle, a jaded workaday kids’ birthday clown, whose one-liners are witty in a way that’s just not for kids. Stitches falls victim to a fatal party mishap at the hands of a group of particularly children. Years later, the group of now teenagers attend a party at which Stitches is the uninvited guest of honor. Naturally, things take a downward, bloody bloody turn.

My thoughts… Stitches is everything a horror movie about a psychopathic clown returning from the grave to exact his revenge on the bratty kids who caused his demise should be! Stitches is dark, twisted, witty, and, above all else, ridiculously gory! It’s like a John Hughes teen comedy mixed with a blood-soaked slasher film! Although English comedian Ross Noble delivers a a ton of great one-liners as Stitches, my favorite line comes courtesy of Kate’s musician boyfriend Dan: “I played so hard you couldn’t even hear the rest of the band. I’m thinking of changing our band name to Dan.” Oh, and Gemma Leah Devereux is adorable as angsty Kate!
