Fray (2017) is a short sci-fi/steampunk film written & directed by Mikko Löppönen for HMCIndie and OneFX. Starring Jessica Wolff, Kirill Wilen, Sami Huhtala, and Aaron Porter. Originally shot in Finland in 2014.

Returning from an important gig for THE BOSS, FRAY finds herself in trouble as the payment is denied. Luckily for her, ALEX – a drunken bastard who is just looking for trouble – happens to be brandishing a weapon inside the bar. She realizes that she could use him to get payment, so they confront THE BOSS together.

My thoughts… Fray isn’t steampunk. Nor is it cyberpunk. It’s really just a futuristic western. Fray looks great but it delivers merely a glimpse into Fray’s dystopic world, so I hope Mikko Löppönen continues her story at some point!
